9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

Global Privacy Control: We recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If you use a browser or extension that supports GPC, we will treat this as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes under applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). California "Shine The Light" Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?"

11. AFFILIATE TRACKING, ADVERTISING, AND YOUR OPT-OUT CHOICE

 Local Owner Report is a publication of DRF Media LLC and earns commissions through affiliate partnerships, including with OneFront Financial, the payments company behind the HotGlue platform featured in our reports. To attribute referrals, our pages load a first-party attribution script provided by OneFront that assigns a visitor token (a random identifier stored in your browser) and passes it, along with a referral identifier and an advertising click identifier, to the partner's site when you click an affiliate link. We also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure which of our advertisements lead to visits and clicks, and to build advertising audiences for retargeting on Meta platforms. This sharing of information for cross-context advertising purposes may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain US state privacy laws. You can opt out of this tracking in two ways. First, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends GPC, our advertising and attribution scripts are not loaded at all, and a confirmation notice is displayed on your visit.
